Emerging Nepal's IPO application of 24 Lakhs, 53.87 times more demand for shares
More than 2.4 million applications have been received for the IPO issued by Emerging Nepal Limited since Wednesday, January 10.
According to CDS & Clearing, 2,415,919 applicants have applied for 2,78,35,420 shares worth Rs 2.78 billion in the company's IPO till 5:17 pm this time.
This is 53.87 times more than the 516,708 shares allotted to the public.
As there are more applications than demand for the shares of the company, the shares will be distributed through round-robin as per the Securities Issuance and Distribution Directive. Accordingly, out of the eligible applicants, only 51 thousand 670 people will get shares at the rate of a minimum of 10 lots.
The company has issued 555,600 IPOs worth Rs 55.56 million.
Out of that, 2 percent or 11 thousand 112 lots have been secured for employees and 5 percent or 27 thousand 780 lots have been secured for collective investment funds. The remaining 516,708 shares have been issued to the public.
At present, the paid-up capital of the company is Rs. 504 million. The paid-up capital of the company will reach Rs. 555.6 million after the IPO allotment.
